Emergency Shelters, Disaster Relief Shelters, Military Shelters, Homeless Shelters, and More

Military Applications

As they risk their lives protecting us, let us continue to do our job of protecting them. Intershelter™ can provide our troops with bulletproof shelters that can be assembled in less than a few hours by just two men.

Bulletproof
As an option, add composite armor to your Intershelter™. Composite laminate used for the Ballistic Dome Shelter is configured in a multi-ply configuration that provides best properties when ballistically attacked. The bullets are embedded within the composite armor panels rather than ricocheted (like steel or aluminum armor would). The bullet-resistant composite armor is a fraction of the weight of steel armor for identical performance levels. Tests show that ballistic levels exceed level IIIA.

Living Quarters
One 20-foot pod can shelter up to 24 men while a compound of five shelters can accommodate 96 men with a living area between.
InterShelter (TM) military compound arrangement for 96 soldiers.

Portability
With the size consideration of the Intershelter™, you can ship 32 EHM’s covering 10,000 square feet of secure and protected living space on just one C-130 Hercules Aircraft. With a flight of six C-130’s with a flying time of 1 hour (200 miles), you can provide shelter to 768 people with medium term housing every other hour or 9200 people housed every day!

Other Military Uses
The units not only serve as personnel quarters but can serve virtually all combat and combat support shelter functions, such as:

  • Command and communication centers
  • Storage of munitions, materials, food or medical supplies
  • Fire direction control centers and radar enclosures
  • Medical unit operations
  • MASH style hospital units
  • Radar or satellite dish enclosures for emergency or battle communications

Military Mobile Secure Structure (MMoSS)
The MMoSS is bullet-proof using Kevlar Aramid Fiber laminations in the
building process thereby providing Class III A protection to the soldiers or equipment
inside. The MMoSS has been designed to accept multiple units to build out a Mobile Surgical or
medical clinic as an option. The dust free environment afforded by solid construction
and positive pressure air purification will allow trauma victims to be treated in a sterile
and secure environment closer to the areas of operation. The MMoSS can also serve as an isolation unit for NBC (Nuclear, Biological, Chemical) agent triage.
